About Us

Welcome to Travel in Styles — a home for women who refuse to choose between looking put-together and packing light.

Why We Started This

Travel in Styles began with a simple frustration: most packing advice online was either too generic (“bring layers!”) or too impractical (outfits that look great in a photo but fall apart after one flight, one spilled coffee, or one unexpected rainstorm). We wanted something different — outfit guides built around how trips actually go, city by city, season by season, occasion by occasion.

Today, that idea has grown into a full library of destination style guides, seasonal capsule wardrobes, and event-based outfit planning, all built to answer one question: what do I actually wear for this?

What You’ll Find Here

We cover four main areas:

  • Destination guides — what to wear in specific cities and regions, from Las Vegas nightlife to Austrian spring weather, based on real climate data and local dress norms.
  • Seasonal and capsule wardrobes — build-once, wear-often outfit systems designed to minimize luggage while maximizing outfit combinations.
  • Event-based outfit ideas — festivals, holidays, brunches, and other occasions where “what to wear” isn’t obvious.
  • Packing tips and travel essentials — the practical layer underneath the style advice: what actually survives a suitcase.

Who’s Behind Travel in Styles

Travel in Styles is founded and written by Jitu Niranjan, a travel fashion writer with three years of experience curating outfit guides and packing strategies for women travelers. Every guide on this site is researched with current climate data, local style norms, and practical travel constraints in mind — not just trend-chasing.

You can follow ongoing outfit inspiration and curation on our Pinterest.

How We Build Our Guides

Each guide on this site follows the same process: we research the destination’s actual climate and cultural norms, cross-check current weather patterns, and build outfit recommendations around real trip scenarios rather than generic style tips. Guides are updated as seasons, trends, and destinations evolve.

A Note on Affiliate Links

Some links on this site are Amazon affiliate links, which means we may earn a small commission if you make a purchase — at no extra cost to you. This never affects which products we recommend; we only link to items we’d genuinely suggest packing. Full details are available in our Privacy Policy.
